Henderson Pointe Kicks Off Construction for New Redevelopment

MILLERSVILLE, MARYLAND (APRIL 3, 2024) – Henderson Pointe is poised for reinvention as construction begins on a comprehensive redevelopment program.  Broad Reach Retail Partners has commenced construction for the highly anticipated redevelopment project at Henderson Pointe Shopping Center, anchored by Food Lion. This transformative endeavor is set to refine and elevate the retail experience within the center.

Having acquired Henderson Pointe in April 2021, Broad Reach identified a compelling value-add opportunity, leveraging the existing draw of key anchors such as Food Lion, Harbor Freight, and Badcock Home Furniture & More. Strategically situated along Dabney Drive, a major commuter thoroughfare witnessing approximately 19,000 daily vehicle passes, the 188,647-square-foot center holds significant potential for revitalization.

With a 50,000-square-foot tenant departure and a substantial 40,000-square-foot vacancy, our leasing team executed diligently, securing agreements with reputable national brands including Ross Dress for Less, Burlington, Five Below, and Mattress Warehouse.

The redevelopment project has successfully navigated initial permitting stages and is now progressing into the construction phase. With a substantial investment, the revitalized Henderson Pointe will not only accommodate the aforementioned national tenants but also undergo a comprehensive facelift, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the center.
