3rd Year Salvation Army Angel Tree

While Broad Reach Retail Partners has been participating in the Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree to collect Christmas gifts for local families in need, this was the first year for hosting a family with three children.

Our little angels included a 10-yr old boy with dreams of Falcon NFL gear, a 9-yr old boy who likes BMX biking and basketball and a 5-yr old girl hoping for Barbie’s and Rainbow-haired ponies.

Maria Malzone, the “Chief Elf” at Broad Reach, coordinated the collection of toys and clothes for the family and delivered everything, including rolls of wrapping paper for the mother, to the Salvation Army in early December. Maria stated, “I’m so proud that this has become a Holiday tradition at Broad Reach.

At this busy time of year, it can be difficult to find the appropriate giving opportunity, and through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, we are able to directly affect a family in our community. Every year we have been able to give gifts and winter coats to more children. I look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.”
