At Broad Reach Retail Partners, we create value for our partners, people, and properties. We are looking for a Project/Development Manager to be responsible for sourcing and leading individual, multi-disciplined real estate developments and redevelopments.

In this role, you will be creating value for the company by generating another revenue stream for the company to participate in different types of grocery anchored projects, as well as providing much needed support to our operations and development groups.

What you will be doing:

  • Assists with various tenant buildouts and/or construction projects within the company portfolio
  • Assist in the evaluation of sites for retail development, including feasibility studies & market assessments
  • Manage aspects of due diligence, environmental, title and geotechnical and any other third-party vendors
  • Capability to read and understand documents including but not limited to: plans, contracts, specifications
  • Coordinate entitlement processes, including meeting with municipality officials and conducting community outreach
  • Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification
  • Leads project delivery resources/team providing project guidance and direction to
  • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets and approved timelines
  • Reports status and variances
  • Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule
  • Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk
  • Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team
  • Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed
  • Implements project documentation aligned with company and client requirements
  • Travel as needed

What We Look For:

  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in retail development
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with tenants, vendors, and other employees
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgement
  • Knowledge of retail development and construction activities
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability
  • Computer skills – spreadsheet and word processing software capabilities
  • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to write business correspondence
